I wish I could say I got a lot of work done today but that is not the case.  Our son is home sick today and has really “altered” our work plans for the day.  To be honest he seemed pretty sick this morning coughing and blowing his nose so we thought he should stay home but he seems to be feeling better and in fact is being quite noisy and distracting.

So………..I decided I would just go up to my quiet scraproom and work on a new layout.  I have been dying to use some of the new Pink Paislee Sweet Cakes papers so I grabbed the Lovey Dovey sheet and paired it with our Vintage Moon Moon Glade paper that is blue with the metallic sheen pattern on it.  They are perfect for this photo of my son flying on the airplane ride at King’s Dominion this past summer.

This came together pretty quick and now I think it just might be crooked.  I should have taken more time…LOL!

Love the new mirror words from Colorbok.  Fun sayings in plastic mirror tiles.  Adds a real shiny accent.

Look at what my son did over the weekend!  I am so proud of him for writing his whole list out by himself.  And honestly at his age he has such a strong belief in Santa Claus which we have always encouraged.  He dropped his letter in the mailbox this morning and he was just full of questions about how long it would take to get to Santa and how many kids send Santa letters etc.  SO SWEET.  Thank goodness I know what all these things are.  It is a little hard to read his writing….

I forced myself to finish this album last weekend and can finally share some pics here on my blog.  I am not sure anyone is interested but I do like to share my projects from time to time so here goes…

I tried to keep a few things consistent throughout the album so that it would all tie together when I was done.  I used lots of black and white rub-ons, blue bling, photo corners, white puffy title stickers and of course paper from an entire coordinated collection!  I also used only black and white photos throughout the entire album.

So glad this project is complete.  Now I can get back to creating layouts!!

I am pretty excited.  We just got invited on all expenses paid trip to Las Vegas and of course we said YES!!!  Last month I told you about our trip to Wichita to attend a 40th anniversary work party for my brother in law Craig.  While we were at his “roast and toast” his boss gave him an all expenses paid trip on the company jet for 6 people.  Craig had the opportunity to choose anywhere for his vacation, but anyone who knows him knows that Las Vegas is his favorite vacation destination.  Naturally, he decided he would be taking the company jet to Las Vegas.  Now…….here is the fun part for us:  My niece and nephew couldn’t make the trip or get time off of work so Craig has asked Barry and I if we want to go in their place!  YIPPEEEEEE! Uh YES WE WILL!

In about a month we will be boarding a private 8 passenger plane to Vegas!  When we land we are greeted by a limo and taken to the new Palazzo hotel where we will be staying in the Palazzo Luxury Suite.  AMAZING.

Of course I am feeling a little bad that my niece and nephew couldn’t go but am really excited to get away for 3 nights and 4 days.  Christmas has come early this year

This means the day after I get home from Houston for a Pink Paislee store appearance and class I will be leaving for Vegas.  Busy schedule coming up!  Now…off to see what the weather will be like in Vegas next month!!! 

Well allright…I have to be honest….he really wasn’t that spooky.  This year my 6 year old surprised me with his choice of costume.  Normally he knows months in advance what he wants to be but this year he just didn’t seem to have a clear cut choice.  We went to 2 different costume stores and looked at atleast 100 ideas.  In the end he picked this White Ice Ninja costume that came with daggers and an ice sword.  I have no idea where this idea came from but I think he liked the “weapons” more than the actual costume.  So…here are some quick photos from last nights adventure.

Trick or Treating with our friends and neighbors….Sarah and Hannah!  What fun!

We had pizza with our friends and neighbors before heading out and had a blast walking with the kids while they ran from house to house.  The weather was beyond gorgeous here last night so for once we weren’t freezing!
