The Daily Slurp…
October 20, 2008 at 8:09 am | In Chit Chat | Leave a CommentHave you ever heard of The Daily Slurp? Does anyone else know what this is besides me? Everyday on my iGoogle home page I get a snapshot of about 9-10 websites that are featured each day. It is some type of home page widget and I just LOVE IT! I have found some of the most interesting websites this way.
Today as I was browsing I found the cutest pumpkin patch site so I just have to share. It isn’t very often that you see a Pumpkin Patch website as cute or functional as this one. Cute photos, cute illustrations and even a few good recipes. Since Halloween is right around the corner I thought it would be appropriate to spread the love today…They aren’t here in the US but it is still a fun site to look at.

Wichita Zoo Review
October 12, 2008 at 12:02 pm | In Chit Chat | Leave a CommentHi all!
Sorry I have been missing in action lately….there is just a lot going on.
We just got home from a weekend trip to Wichita, KS. While we were there we attended an Anniversary Party for my brother in law Craig who has worked for the Davis-Moore Dealerships for 40 years! We had a blast at the Petroleum Club attending his “Roast & Toast” and laughing at all of the stories from co-workers and family members. It is rare to see anyone stay on the job for 40 years anymore and they really honored him with this party. Congrats Craig!
Friday we spent the day at the Wichita Zoo with Connor’s Grandma and Grandpa and had a great time. The weather was perfect but it was seriously WINDY. Despite the dust storms we really did enjoy the animals. Here are some photos I grabbed so I could share…..
This elephant was stretching so hard to get to the green grass….we were a little worried she would topple right over the edge!
Kissing Chimps!
Our very own little “gorilla”
My favorite “Monkey’s”
More Monkey’s! I see a theme here….
There were statues all over the zoo and we stopped to take photos by every one of them…it became a game in the end!
One final note….I have to give a shout out to my niece Michelle who told me that she started scrapbooking!! YAY! I am obviously thrilled and excited to hear that you are enjoying this fabulous craft! And remember….. it is ok to have fun and experiment! Get out those stamps already. (And when you read this…don’t forget to send me your address)
(P.S. I am almost done with that 6×12 album and will share in a few days…)
