Quick update today because my scroll finger already hurts….LOL!  I use the computer for so many hours each day that my finger is sore this morning. YIKES!

I decided to change my blog format today.  I still want to tweak some colors but overall I like the set up and I was ready for a change.  I used elements from the Spring Fling collection (Pink Paislee) to create my header.  The totally awesome thing about having Holly as a product designer is that she was able to convert everything from our collection into digital kits that I could use for whatever I needed to create.  In fact I am using these digital kits to create banner ads and newsletter ads for some advertising we are starting in April.

I miss blogging on a personal level and hope to return here more often from now on.  It does keep me from going totally insane.   I was also recently tagged by Tina to list 7 random things about me so here are my entries:

1. I love trivia.  Even when I don’t know the answer I love guessing.
2. I am totally addicted to Mr. Pibb.  It is so bad that when I don’t drink it I get sick and have headaches.  Total withdrawel symptoms.  It is SAD.
3. Lately I find myself staying up all night just “thinking” when an idea hits about a marketing idea or as in the case last night….a new product idea.
4. I love to watch reality shows including all the home makeover shows on HGTV
5. I have slumber parties with my girlfriends about once a year.  (who cares if we are in our 30’s)  We still have fun!
6. I only scrap about once a week now if I am lucky
7. Chili’s is my favorite restaurant of all time!

Ever feel like you can’t stop adding elements to a layout?  Today I spent some time playing with this photo and after about an hour I felt like I was losing myself in the madness of embellishments!  At first glance this photo looks like a pirate photo of sorts but this is my son actually sporting a Harley do-rag!  My son isn’t actually that wild and rough but he was sure acting the part once the do-rag was placed on top of his head

Loving this paper and all the black and red.  Such contrasting colors when paired with the cream color.

It is with great pleasure that I accept this award…..I would like to thank my family for supporting me…yada yada yada. LOL!

All kidding aside I got a sweet note from Nicole S that I have been tagged with the official “you make my day” award. Nicole is one who inspires me so it is quite an honor to get this little goodie from her! Now I am off to tag 5 people who inspire me….who will it be?? Hmmmm…..stay tuned!

I love the internet. Seriously. I am sitting here in my robe and I just purchased my tickets to The Cure concert for May 19th in Kansas City! I remember when I was in high school and we had to line up at the Ticketmaster outlet to try and get concert tickets. But not today….nope today you can just hop online and get what you need without braving the elements or using up very expensive GAS! I now have my tickets and it took me all of about 2 minutes!

This will be the second time I have seen this band live in concert. The last time was in 1993 when I turned 21 so I am anxious to see if they “still got it.” In fact I am going with my best friend Lori and she and I went together back in ‘93 so this is sort of like a mini “relive our youth” night out! I hope they don’t disappoint…heck I might even grab one of these cute tank tops while I am there.

I have had this photo since last summer and when I received the new Jeni Bowlin goodies this week I just had to print this photo and start playing.  I am seriously addicted to brown, cream and aqua right now.  I also added metallic copper letters and eyelets to this too! 

The photo was edited in photoshop prior to printing and I added the white digi frame and the text lets ride.  It is also sepia toned so it looks muted and old fashioned a bit!

We are headed out to celebrate the 60th wedding anniversary for my in laws tonight so I decided I would “not work” and try to enjoy the entire day. This layout is the result of today’s relaxation!  Now I need to clean up and jump in the shower! Hope everyone has a great weekend.
