I have to give a shout out to my friend Abigail for surprising me with this bag of Creative Cafe goodies yesterday!  This girl is just about the sweetest girl I have met in a long long time!  I actually met her through CMK.  She was a local customer and when she came by to pick up her orders we would always end up chatting and laughing at our little ones!

Abigail…if you are reading this thank you so much!  I was like a kid in a candy store when I saw all of the goodies in this bag.  I don’t have any of these items yet and I was really wanting some of these felt words!!  I hope to get to use them soon!!  I owe you one!

Ever since the announcement about Pink Paislee I have gotten several emails asking me if we are going to have a design team for Pink Paislee.  For that reason, I thought I would write an official post about this subject so that anyone who is curious will have the answer.  I will try to make this brief but that could be hard for me…LOL!

We are a small start up company; and that means we do believe in the power of having a team of creative designers to help us spread the word about our products.  In fact, we don’t have a huge budget for marketing right now so we NEED our internet friends and scrappers behind us!  I don’t think anyone knows better than I about the power of a great creative team and I do intend to add a team of designers to represent Pink Paislee in the very near future.

However………………..I DO NOT intend to conduct an open cattle call to find our inaugral team.  My goal is to get through the CHA Show (and survive) and then invite individuals to join us on this ground breaking journey!  We have asked some individuals to help us prepare samples for the booth but we are approaching that as freelance design work to get us started!  It does not mean these designers will be a part of our permanent team….make sense???  Clear as mud right??? So the short answer is: yes we will need designers and when we are ready to get them started we will more than likely handle this via invitation.    I am just too busy to handle it otherwise at the moment.  I also reserve the right to completely change my mind at anytime right???????????  tee hee!

I have been amazed at how everyone is willing to help us and how much of a growing interest we are creating in our products.  I sure hope we don’t disappoint anyone.  With 65 new products being released at this show we hope we will have alteast 1 product you will each love!  We are anxious to see what everyone creates with Pink Paislee!  We are also anxious to be inspired by all of you.

Ha ha ha….I am continuing with the italk today…..Yes I am now the proud owner of a pretty little white MacBook!  So far I like it ALOT but it is so different than my PC.  Holly was guiding me right along last night during our very first ichat and screen share.  I was able to peek into her computer to see what she was designing at that very moment.  It doesn’t get any cooler than that!

So anyhoo…..we got our stamp samples yesterday!  We are going to be revealing (8) 4×6 stamp sets and (24) 2×2 individual stamps.  That is a LOT of stamps!  We found out we need to tweak our packaging design but for the most part you can see the beginnings of our product packaging here!  So stinkin cute!!

I wouldn’t normally show sneaks quite yet but as you can see these our original Pink. Sugar. Pop designs that you may have seen before.  For our purposes we just made them a wee bit smaller so we could group them on 1 sheet!   I love them in all their little cuteness and we hope you will too!

I can tell you we are in serious “crunch time” mode here.  The patterned paper files went to the printer last night and Holly is finishing up the final product designs this weekend so we can get it all to the printer by next week.  Holly has been cranking out the designs and working her little tail off!  I know she is exhausted and I hope she also knows how much I admire her for her talents; I am in awe of her more and more everyday!

So….we are cutting it close but I think we will get there!  Tee hee!  I just pray we get samples in time to create some fun displays for the booth!  Keep your fingers crossed for us! 

I promise I am still here!  It has been a crazy week with the official transfer of CMK to Lisa last Saturday and the New Years party we attended and well all of it!  Today feels like the first official day of Pink Paislee to me!  Now I can focus my time and my efforts 110% to the things we must do in order to properly debut our new products at the CHA Show.

In case you are wondering about the title of this entry….I can let you in on a little secret…I am just days away from entering the world of APPLE; otherwise known as imac, ipod, iphone, ilife, etc.  Isn’t it cute how all of their products start with the little “i”?  I have decided to purchase a MAC notebook computer so that Holly and I can chat on ichat and share files and views from one anothers computers.  It is obvious she and I will be chatting daily and this will speed up our communications and discussion about products she is designing for Pink Paislee.   I love everything the MAC can do and the new Leopard software is amazing!!!  See for yourself how amazing this is by taking the guided tour HERE.

I am sure I will be converted to the MAC in no time and then I can start talking like this ” iblog, iscrap, icook, icreate, ilove, (you get the idea) :-)

I only have 1 New Years resolution this year and that is to stop drinking soda pop.  My goal is to cut 500 calories from my diet or my daily routine each day and the quickest way to do that is to give up my Mr. Pibb (GASP)!!  Stay strong right????  I hope I can do it.  I need to shed some pounds!   Did you create any resolutions this year?  If so….I want to hear about them!
