I am starting to feel like everything is down to the 11th hour. 

Tomorrow Lisa and her family arrive from Arkansas so we can conduct the close of the sale of CMK.  This means Lisa will be packing up all of the inventory and we will officially transfer all of our rights as store owners over to her!  I am extremely excited and anxious about this.  I know it sounds odd that I would be happy about selling something I love so much and I can’t really explain the emotion.   The only bad thing is that it feels like the end of the work day on my last day on the job and I still have loose ends to tie up.  I need to walk away but I just have a lot of technical stuff to wrap up and I am still burning files, logos and web graphics to a CD!  I guess next time I shouldn’t wait until the last minute…….but hey…I always work best under pressure.

I just got an email from CHA! Yep our membership has been processed and we will get our Booth Assignment later this week for the CHA Winter Show! They seriously had me sweating it! Now Pink Paislee will officially make their debut during the show in February!!! Stay Tuned for more details!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Here is what my hubby got me for Christmas this year.  I got the storage shelf and the desktop carousel from Making Memories.

How do I know you ask???  Well…..because I bought them for myself and told him that he could wrap this up as my Christmas gift.  Do you want to know what his response was??  He said (and I quote) “hallelujah…..I had no idea what to get you for christmas this year.”   Let me just say this is not unusual.  My husband rarely buys me gifts and often makes the claim that I get whatever I want when I want it so everyday is like Christmas.  I love him….I do!  Even if he isn’t the most romantic man on the planet.  I also love my new goodies and think they are going to look great in my scrap room!!!!!!!!

CHA NEWS: NO UPDATE YET AND I AM HOPING THEY PUT ME OUT OF MY MISERY BEFORE THE HOLIDAY!

I am on pins and needles today.  To make a long story short I am waiting to hear back from CHA about our membership approval and exhibitor agreement contract.  I got a scary email from them this week saying we might have to wait until the summer show to exhibit and I am freaking out!  I think I have them convinced but won’t know for sure until today.  We have been working so hard to finalize our products in time for this show so I am hopeful they will allow us to attend as we had planned!  STAY TUNED FOR MORE DETAILS!

Today I am thinking about money.  Ya know that song by Snoop Dog “I got my mind on my money and my money on my mind”  Yeah….that is SO ME today.  This could be happening because I just wrote a check for over $700 to my lawyer or it could be that Christmas is next week and I have a pile of receipts sitting here, or this might be about the contract agreement for the CHA Winter Show that I just reviewed and NEED to get submitted ASAP. CHA-ching!

In all honesty you can’t start a new business without major start up costs and I am prepared for these expenses but sometimes I am even amazed at how quickly it all adds up.  In fact I am keeping a spreadsheet handy on my desktop so that I can record expenses as I go.  

In other fun news our friend is coming over this weekend to discuss my plans for the trade show booth and we will be getting started on building the walls!  It won’t be that hard really….but I do have some special requests so he will have some challenges!  We are going to have a 10′ x 20′ linear booth in the new exhibitor section at the show in Anaheim so that means our booth will be U shape (rectangular) with a back wall and 2 sides!  As a little teaser…here is a fun item that will be finding it’s way into the booth.   Hmmm…..I wonder how much this cost me…..I better go update that spreadsheet!

This is one of the pictures from our trip to see Santa last week at the Crayola Cafe in Crown Center. I took about 10 photos and thought this would be a fun one to share.  Today I am in the spirit of Christmas.  I am headed out for a day of shopping with my mom and my sister and I plan to finish up my list today!  Then I can spend this entire week wrapping up the goodies and planning the holiday meal that I have to prepare on Christmas Day!   I CANNOT believe there are only 8 days until Christmas Eve….I am really behind schedule this year.

On another note…if you are following along with my adventures with Pink Paislee I just have to say that I got some image files from Holly on Friday and I am just giddy!  This girl has so much talent it is unreal.  It is so exciting to take all of her designs and turn them into tangible products for the paper scrapper.  I wish I could share it all with you….but not quite yet!
